Google Wave

So, I have a new website - great (martinschulzeonline.com if you want to see it.) but Google has finally invited me to Google Wave. I have only spent an hour or so with it but it is looking to be the most important web application since the birth of the internet - I think.

Here is how it started. First, I got my invitation and got really excited. Then i found out that I should have someone to wave with but I was the only one of my circle who got invited. Luckily I have 8 invitations I can send out to people I'd like to invite. Clearly I sent them out immediately. My sister was first in responding to it and now we are testing it. It does look promising although a few things are still a bit funky, but hey it is a preview. We were able to use Wave as a chat, hold a vote and collaborate on maps. Other functions such as document collaboration or embedding youtube videos still seems to be a bit flaky.

Long story short: Wave is what groups of friends or teams at work need. Can't wait to use Wave with more people and with all its features.

Cheers.

So, it took me a few weeks but with the help of my brilliant resident designer, my wife, I finished the site and it is live. Since I am in the marketing business I am trying to not only preach marketing to my clients but actually do it for myself. It's a great way to test strategies you usually only talk about and don't get to play with at least not in any way you like. I see too many marketers talk the talk but few actually practice what they teach. I don't want to go on about this now since I really just want to introduce my new site. Here it is again: http://www.martinschulzeonline.com

Cheers,
Martin.
